Mountain Living – Flagstaff Cabin

A “very” urban family forays into bucolic life, buys a cabin in the mountains and hires a designer. The first premise was “we don’t want it too rustic” followed by “not too regional, a cottage that could be anywhere in the West.” With three children in elementary school and frequent sleepovers, the home needed to be kid friendly and provide special spaces for them. Adding the parents’ rich social life: the home needed to comfortably accommodate a multitude of people on any given weekend or during vacations.
